The work consists of 360º video-sequences that immerses the viewer into different urban environments from North- and South-Korea.
The exhibition space consists of 4 walls for video projection and a pedestal with swivel chair at the center for viewers to sit on while watching a 360º video on a VR headset. The VR-headset and the four walls keep playing different video clips of Seoul and Pyongyang.
By contrasting North-Korean Places with South-Korean counterparts, the work invites the viewer to observe the differences and similarities of the 2 countries and to discover if there exists something that is “typical Korean”.
