A Hypercard programm running on a Macintosh SE computer.

The program shows a sequence of different symbols, sorted by their shape-characteristics. Randomly it stops at one symbol - flashing and playing a melody alongside the picture. Melodies are randomly composed or randomly chosen out of a pool of around 50 common melodies.

The symbols are carrying meanings so do the melodies ... as well as the same symbol can have very different messages in different cultures or ages, so does the melody.

An experiment of combining different messages ... an attempt to raise the question, if symbols and melodies are without message and meaning by default.
